The second social tournament of the year took place last Saturday 7 September, with 12 entries made up of 8 men and 4 women. It was due to start at 1pm but the forecast on the day showed rain clouds gathering in the afternoon so we managed to bring the start forward to 11am.

A preliminary period of round robin doubles was played separately between the male and female contingents (9  matches in all), followed by a more limited mixed doubles round of 4 matches. Individual games won were counted and pairings for two semi finals agreed. The semis were won by Angela Dilks with Jon Calvin Thomas, and  Ruth Sawyer with Hugh Kellett.
